Khopra ridge trek begins today with the drive or flight to Pokhara. The flight is the luxury option as you get to enjoy the bird’s eye views of Nepal and the Himalayas from the comfort of the airplane. Moreover, you will arrive at Pokhara in just half an hour and have the rest of the day in leisure. However, budget constraints can be an issue. So our standard option is the drive via Prithvi Highway on a suitable vehicle; tourist bus or jeep depending on group size. This is also the better way to get firsthand experience of the Nepali terrain and landscape before you begin the actual trekking. We will explore the lakeside and chill in the evening.
When will be reach in Pokhara and check into your accommodation. Spend the day exploring the bustling city and various cafes and bars around. After breakfast we will be drive from Pokhara to Nayapul by taxi or private transfer. And then we will trek to Ghandruk which will take about 5 hours Overnight at lodge
Trek from Ghandruk to Tadapani (2660m) 5 hours. The big hamlet of Tadapani which also connects the trail to the major trek of Annapurna Base Camp. The trek has a steep incline that will help you to acclimatize for future days as well. The trial enters a lovely rhododendron and kinds of others trees forest. The excitement of what lies ahead of you is at an all-time high. Overnight at lodge.
Trek from Tadapani to Dobato ( 3420m) is a steep ascent with over 2800ft of altitude gain that might be hectic. Dobato is a lovely hamlet located at a meadow ridge and if the weather is clear then there are high chances of getting glimpses of snow-capped mountains from this Hamlet.
Early in the morning hiking up to before sunrise and make your way to Mundai viewpoint. Then you will descend and we will be ascend Khopra Danda (3660m) 6 hours through thick rhododendron forest with beautiful streams crisscrossing their way through the trail. You will eventually reach lovely alpine meadows and cross the same to reach Khopra Danda. One side you will get to see the green valleys of the other end, you have the giant snow-capped mountains. The best of the lot will be Mt. Dhaulagiri, it will be the clear winner among all in terms of views, there will be nothing in between you and Dhaulagiri to block the view. Spend the night in teahouses. One of the best highlights of the Khopra ridge trek is the impressive ridge walk with panoramic views and also the fact that you get stunning views of peaks and mountain ranges.
Early in the morning hiking up to Khayar holi lake (4700m) up and down 9 hours. That is the adobe of goddess Khair Barahi. You will get a grand and unobstructed view of Annapurna and Mt. Machapucchare. The trail has a decent ascent at the beginning followed by a steep trail before reaching the Khayar Lake. Spend some time in awe of the majestic peaks surrounding this stunning lake and retrace your steps back to Khopra Danda. Overnight at lodge.
Trek to down from Khopra Danda to Swanta (2214m) 5 hours. Our day with an initial descent of over 700m and you will be passing through dense jungle with the trail cutting through rhododendron and oak trees. Swanta is a giant hamlet on a mountain surface surrounded by never ending terrace farms. Explore the village and retire for the night. Overnight at lodge.
Trek from Shwanta to Ghorepani (2860m) is a series of ascents and descents which is certainly not monotonous. You will be crossing through dense forests with frequent clearings and you get a glimpse of Annapurna range rising high and mighty. We cross and isolated village named Chitre to eventually reach Ghorepani. Overnight at lodge.
Early in the morning hiking up to Poonhill (3210m) up and down 2 hours you can see excellent sunrise views and beautiful mountain range like Mt. Dhaulagiri (98167m), Tukuche peak, Dhampus Peak, Ten Peak, Nilgiri, Barah shikhar, Mt. Annapurna (I) 8091m, Annapurna south, Himchuli, Machhapuchre, Gangapurna, Annapurna (III) and etc.
After back to lodge we will take breakfast then we will trek to down through thick rhododendron forest to reach Nayapul where our vehicles will be waiting for you and drive to Pokhara one hour. overnight at hotel in Pokhara with B/B plan.
Travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu, covering a distance of 202km, either by tourist bus, which takes approximately 7 hours, or by a short 35-minute flight. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check into your hotel and spend the night relaxing and reflecting on your memorable journey through the Himalayas.
Your unforgettable adventure through the Himalayas comes to an end. After breakfast, check out from your hotel and prepare for departure. Our representative will transfer you to Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu for your onward journey.
