When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our friendly staff will be there to welcome you with a garland or Khata and a sign with your name. After the welcome, we'll take you to your hotel.
Our staff will make sure you reach your hotel safely. You can spend the rest of the day exploring Thamel Bazaar, which is a popular place for tourists. There are many places to eat there, offering both local and international food. You can also visit nearby religious sites.
If you still need to do some shopping, Thamel is a great place for it. You can find everything you need for trekking there.
You'll start your trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara early in the morning. It's a beautiful drive through the hills with winding roads and you'll cross two lovely rivers, Trishuli and Marshyangdi, on the way. The distance between Kathmandu and Pokhara is about 202 km or 125 miles, and it usually takes around 6 to 7 hours to get there. Once you arrive, you'll stay overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.
Get up early to catch a short flight from Pokhara to Jomsom, which only takes about 25 minutes. During the flight, enjoy the Ariel views of snowy mountains and green hills from your window. Jomsom is an important village in the Kali Gandaki valley because it has an airport, and this is where your trek begins.
Start your trek from Jomsom to the charming village of Kagbeni. You'll walk along a dirt road until you reach the entrance to Lower Mustang, where Kagbeni sits on top of a cliff. This village has a Tibetan influence and offers a unique cultural experience in its rugged surroundings.
Stay overnight in Kagbeni to rest and get ready for the adventures ahead.
Start hiking to Chele, which is part of the restricted Upper Mustang area. Don't forget to bring your permits, as they'll be checked at a checkpoint. Follow the path along the eastern side of the Kali Gandaki riverbank, going up and down some ridges until you reach Tangbe village.
Continue walking past Chhusang village and cross the Kali Gandaki River to get to Chele village. Chele sits high on a hill, so be ready for a steep climb.

Today, you'll hike along a path that goes through steep and empty land. You'll also see a beautiful red canyon. As you walk, you'll go downhill slowly and spot some Buddhist shrines called chortens on a ridge.
Your trek will take you to Samar village, where you'll walk through fields and over ridges to get to Syangbochen village.

You'll hike through the big valleys near the Kali Gandaki River. First, you'll climb up a hill and cross a pass, then walk down to Gheling village. The next part of the trail is a bit hard because you'll cross Nyi La Pass (3,840m/12,598ft).
After you pass Charang village, you'll get to Ghami village. There, you'll see houses made of mud and stone, painted white, under a cliff.

Today, you'll hike through the dry and rough terrain of Mustang. It might be tough, but the views of the Rocky Mountains are stunning and worth it.
You'll also visit Charang village, which sits by the Charang Chu Canyon. The village has a beautiful red Gompa with lots of statues and colorful paintings. And don't miss the big old fort to the east of the village.

Today, you'll hike to Lo Manthang, the old capital of the Kingdom of Lo. You'll walk past Lo Gekar on your way there.
Enjoy the amazing views of big mountains like Tilicho, Nilgiri, and Annapurna I. Explore the old temples and monasteries in Lo Manthang to learn about their culture and traditions.

Today, you'll check out the old walled city of Lo Manthang, built by Ame Pal in the 1380s. It has around 150 houses surrounded by tall mud walls. The main attractions are the gompas (monasteries) and the King’s Palace. The King’s Palace, with five stories and dating back to around 1400, sits in the center of the city. Although the King mostly has a ceremonial role, the villagers respect and seek advice from the King and queen who live there.
You'll also visit ancient gompas like Champa Lhakang, which has a big Buddha statue and Mandalas painted on the walls. Another stop is Namgyal Gompa, on a beautiful hilltop, which is important for religious, social, and legal matters, serving as a courthouse. You'll also see Thubchen Gompa, built in the 15th century with a big red hall, and Choprang Gompa, known as New Gompa, to learn about local customs.
Additionally, you'll visit Tsechen Shedrubling Monastic School, a part of the Monastic Museum, where young monks are trained.
After a day of exploration, you'll spend the night in Lo Manthang.
Today, you'll hike up a valley with a glacier, where you'll see a beautiful view of reddish-brown Lo Manthang below. As you climb, enjoy the pretty hills with farms by the river. Stop for lunch in the cute village of Dhi.
Then, you'll cross a river and walk beside it to Yara. If you're trekking in the dry season, you'll see amazing sandy formations that look like castles on the hills in Yara.
You'll stay overnight in Yara and get ready for more adventures tomorrow.
You'll leave the steep path of Yara and walk towards Tangye. Along the way, you'll pass by Dhechaeng Khola, a stream that starts from Damodar Kunda. You'll also walk beside a small stream formed from melting ice.
After crossing the stream, you'll reach the town of DHI. Then, you'll see old sandy cliffs before reaching Tangbe, a small town.
You'll stay overnight in Tangye, getting ready for the next part of your journey.
Today, you'll have a longer trek, so wake up early and get ready. You'll climb stairs, cross a suspension bridge, and stick to the right side of the trail as you go to Yak Khola.
You'll also go over the PA pass, the highest point of the Upper Mustang Lo Manthang Trek, at 4,210 meters or 13,812 feet. Take some time to enjoy the amazing views of the Himalayas before going down.
Be careful as you walk downhill on rough ground to avoid getting hurt. Enjoy the nice views of the valley with houses having mud roofs before reaching Chhusang village.
You'll stay overnight in Chhusang.
After crossing the pass, you'll go down to a stream and cross a suspension bridge before reaching Muktinath. Along the way, you'll find Fossil stone, known locally as ‘Saligram.’
Muktinath is important to both Hindus and Buddhists. It's a temple for Lord Vishnu, with 108 water spouts with detailed carvings. You'll also visit the nearby ancient temple of Jwalamai, known for its eternal flame of natural gas.
You'll spend the night in Muktinath.
You'll start by visiting Muktinath temple, which offers beautiful views of Dhaulagiri. Nearby, there's a Buddhist monastery you can explore. Then, you'll trek to Panga Khola valley, passing through dense pine forests to reach Lubra village.
Lubra village has about 20 houses and is home to the 12th-century Bon Punt Soling monastery, one of the few Bon Monasteries left in Nepal. Inside, you'll see pictures of four Lokapalas and Buddha Shakyamuni.
Situated above Jomsom, Lubra village gives you a peek into rural life unchanged by modernization. Look out for colorful strings called devil traps hanging on doorways, believed to catch the devil at night. Afterward, trek back to Jomsom.
You'll stay overnight in Jomsom.
Wake up early to catch a flight back to Pokhara and enjoy the astonishing views of the big mountains like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri from your airplane window.
After you check into your hotel, you'll have the whole day to relax in the lovely city of Pokhara. You can choose what you want to do, like taking a walk by the lake, shopping for souvenirs, or paying extra for a tour with a guide.
You'll spend the night in Pokhara, enjoying the calm atmosphere.
Start your scenic trip from Pokhara to Kathmandu via the beautiful Prithivi Highway. Enjoy the beautiful views of green hills, rivers, and farms as you travel.
Once you reach Kathmandu, check into your hotel and relax or go out to explore the city.
