Nar Phu is a most beautiful and very famous trekking regios and also famous for mountain medicin “Yarsa Gumpa” It is remote regions of western part of Nepal in Gandaki State of the Manang district. Nar and Phu, narrow remote village, lovely forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, Monasteries, verious architect beautiful old houses and unique Himalayan cultures.
This region of two main village Nar and Phu. In Nar Village more than 300 permanent residents also called Nar-Ten and in Phu Village more than 200 permanent residents its also called Phu –Ten. These region make their livelihood mainly from herding yak and trading meat, wool and hides with the villages located in the lower regions of Manang.
Cross the bridge leading over the Marshyangdi River to the steeps portals of the Nar Phu valley is easily leave.Even an entrance is narrow and forested valley above opens up to a huge expanse of high snow-peaks, ancient villages, and high altitude grazing settlements. these virtually untouched villages or climbed the many 7000m peaks surrounding it.In this valley are believed to be from Tibet’s ancient Shang Sung Kingdom arriving sometime in the 8th Century and converted from Bon to Buddhism after the birth of Buddha in Lumbini. Nar Village sits above a large flat plain which make up the extensive agriculture fields being plowed by teams of humans and their yak. It seemed as though the entire village population are in the fields turning the soil and planting seeds in anticipation for the summer rains. Upon you arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our airport representative with receive you and transfer you to the hotel in a private care or high-end tourist bus. After your refreshment at hotel, our trekking leader will meet you and make a complete briefing about the trek.
After breakfast, the sightseeing trip begins. An experienced city guide and comfy private van/car will be available during your sightseeing program. The first scheduled sightseeing spot is sacred Hindu temple complex- Pashupatinath which was built in Lichhavi period. We then drive to Boudhanath, one of largest stupa in the world. It is the spiritual Buddhist shrine for Nepalese and Tibetan Buddhist. We then visit Shayambhunath (2,000 years old monkey temple) that soars high at the hilltop. All three spots holds great religious and cultural significance for Nepalese people. Interestingly, all these religious sites are listed under UNESCO heritage site list.
After breakfast, we leave Kathmandu and drive for 8-9 hours towards Jagat. We drive on a winding path exploring the picturesque countryside, lush green forest, rivers, cultivated fields and mountain vistas. Negotiating frequent switchback, we reach Besishahar and couple of hour drive via dusty and coarse road takes us to Nagdi.
Trek from Nagdi to Jagat village (1400m) for approximately 6 hours. Enjoy the scenic trail as you ascend through the picturesque landscape of the Himalayan foothills. Arrive at Jagat village and settle in for the night at a cozy lodge, where you can rest and rejuvenate for the adventures ahead.
After breakfast, we start our trek in a gradual pace. At the first part of a trail, we climb down to Jagat until it reachs the bank of river and continue further through the verdant forest. The trail then makes steep climb to the sharp-edged cliff overlooking the river. Chyamje is seen at distant at the glorious backdrop of Annapurna range. The trail crosses the suspension bridge and makes a steep climb via slippery and arduous path to reach Sattale. Further, the join the path of rock-strewn route and drop off to the grassy river back that eventually takes to Tal. From Tal, the steep ascend the trail makes a steep ascent to Karte and walks along the waterfalls and cliffs to reach Dharapani.
After breakfast, we begin with steep forested ridges and several landslide section en route to west of deep valley. We get the mesmerizing view of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II and Annapurna IV (7,525m/24,688ft) while making our way to large mani wall of Chame. There is small hot spring where you can soothe to relief you tiring muscles.
Today, we cross the suspension bridge over Marshyandi River and head right of Nar-Phu River. We enter deep into the lush forest and walk across the narrow forested gorge while enjoying the Annapurna range at a same time. Climbing steeply via forested route, we cross suspension bridge again and pass Hulaki Odar (3,060m) (Postman Cave) to reach small hot spring. Here after, we duck down steeply until we enter into the village of Dharmasala. Further, walking through several uphill and downhill terrain, we reach the Meta village.
We begin with several ups and downs and cross suspension bridges over the streams. Walking for several hours, we reach Kyang village where we can explore last remnant of ruined forts of Khampa settlements (it is place where Tibetan refugee captured and lived centuries ago). Walking further along Phu Khola on a boulder trail, we finally reach Phu Goan.
Today is first scheduled acclimatization for Nar Phu Valley trek. We can either hike up to summer pasture Ngoru Kharka or walk to Himlung Base Camp for great Mt. Himlung views. We explore local culture and get deep insight of their tradition and visit Tashi Lhokhang Gompa at 4,150m. Phu refers to the summit of the valley and the pyramid shaped peak soaring at 6,364m is named as Bhrikuti, a queen of Tibetna king Songtseng Gompo beyond Tibet.
Today, we climb down via many streams and suspension bridges to reach Phu village. Crossing the 80m suspension bridge over Lapche Khola, the trail climbs steeply towards Nar village crossing many small Buddhist stupa that takes about 2 hours.
Today is a long day, so get up before sunrise and head towards the Kang La Pass, which leads back onto the popular Annapurna Circuit. It is not a difficult pass, but it can be a long day as the effects of altitude will be felt. Once on top of the pass, you can enjoy an amazing view over Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak. The trail down starts off steep, but if you enjoy scree running you can have some fun! Stop for lunch on a plateau overlooking the peak, then continue towards Ngawal. Ngawal, on the upper Pisang route of the Annapurna Circuit, is certainly very different from the ancient villages just visited. The lodges are big, the menus much more comprehensive and there will be Wifi and phone signals in most lodges.
Today, we make our way to Manang (3540m) about 4 hourr. We walk through scattered village and secluded village of Paugh displaying the wonderful view of Annapurna range. We climb over Mungli and join the main Annapurna Circuit trail. Walking through frequent ups and downs, we reach Manang village where we set our camp for overnight stay
After breakfast trek from Manang to Chuli Lader (4200m) walking slowly. On the way you can see beautiful landscap, river, wild animal, birds etc we will be take time about 5 hours accommodation overnight at lodge.
After breakfast trek from Chuli Lader to Throng high camp 4850m.about walk to slowly for aclimatize. If you walk fast sometime you will be mountain sick beucause high camp is high palce it is point of Trong La pass
Begin early in the morning for the trek from Thorang Phedi to Thorang La Pass (5416m), a journey of approximately 5 hours. Traverse the challenging terrain as you ascend to the high-altitude pass, enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
After reaching Thorang La Pass, descend towards Muktinath (3800m) via the pass, which takes about 5 hours. Follow the trail down, taking in the changing landscapes and the gradual descent into the valley.
Arrive at Muktinath and settle into your lodge for the night, surrounded by the serene atmosphere of the sacred pilgrimage site. Rest and rejuvenate after the long day of trekking, ready to explore Muktinath's cultural and spiritual attractions the next day.
Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2800m) for approximately 6 hours. Descend through the scenic landscape, passing through picturesque villages and enjoying views of the surrounding mountains. Arrive at Jomsom and settle into your lodge for the night, where you can relax and unwind after a day of trekking.
Begin your day with an early morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, a scenic journey that takes approximately 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can opt for a bus ride from Jomsom to Pokhara, which takes around 7 hours. Upon reaching Pokhara, check into your hotel and unwind after your trekking adventure. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring Pokhara's attractions or simply relaxing by the lakeside.
Travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu, covering a distance of 202km, either by tourist bus, which takes approximately 7 hours, or by a short 35-minute flight. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check into your hotel and spend the night relaxing and reflecting on your memorable journey through the Himalayas.
On your departure day, bid farewell to Kathmandu and make your way to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for your onward journey. Arrange for transportation to the airport based on your flight schedule. Take with you cherished memories of your adventure in the Himalayas and the warm hospitality of Nepal.
