Everest High Passes Trek is an exhilarating adventure in the Himalayas of Nepal. you can trek along the popular Everest trails discovering unique gems of the Khumbu region, its cultural heritages and its people’s hospitability. During your trek, you could cross three high passes in the Everest region – Kongma La Pass (5,535/18,159ft), Cho La Pass (5420m/17,782ft) and Renjo La Pass (5,340m/17,520ft) and set foot on the Everest base camp, climb Kala Patthar and Gokyo Ri; and tour Gokyo Lakes. This route also introduces trekkers to the remote and untouched Nangpa La Valley, the Sherpa village of Marlung and the monastery village of Thame Mountain Layers Trek and Expedition Pvt. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our airport representative will meet you outside the terminal hall and transfer you to the hotel. Check-in to the hotel, freshen up and take a rest. In the evening, join a welcome dinner organized by Mountain Layers Treks in typical Nepali Restaurant.
Waking up early and enjoying the breakfast you will drive to Domestic airport, Kathmandu and from there you will catch the flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest Region. Capturing high mountain peaks, dramatic scenes you will land on the airport. From here you will transfer to the lodge where you will meet your camp staffs and other porters along with crew members. From Lukla you will start to trek Phakding, starting the first trek. Stay overnight in Phakding.
Today the trail goes through the pine forest and continues on the trail that moves north up the Benkar valley. We walk along the Dudh Koshi River and walk through Chumoa and Monjo village to the reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. Next crossing the suspension bridge several time and walking along the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi Rivers, we reach on a steep section that leads us to Namche Bazaar. Namche is the most prosperous town of entire Khumbu region.
Today we explore Namche Bazaar which is the major town of Khumbu region. It houses government offices, Internet Cafes, Shops, restaurants, bakeries and embellished with colorful market. We can make a short hike to Sagarmatha National Park and explore the sunrise over the Himalayas – Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and more. If you wish, we can join a hike to Khumjung village. Here we will visit Hillary School and monastery which houses a scalp of yeti.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Thame, a journey of approximately 5 hours through rugged mountain terrain and picturesque landscapes. As you ascend to Thame (3820m), you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Explore the traditional Sherpa village, known for its rich cultural heritage and historic monasteries. Check into your lodge for the night, where you can relax and unwind amidst the tranquility of the mountains, preparing for further adventures on your trek.
Trek from Thame to Lumde, a scenic journey lasting approximately 5 hours through the rugged terrain of the Himalayas. As you ascend to Lumde (4137m), you'll be surrounded by stunning mountain vistas and pristine landscapes. Take in the beauty of the remote Himalayan wilderness and enjoy the tranquility of the high-altitude environment. Arriving in Lumde, check into your lodge for the night, where you can rest and rejuvenate in preparation for the next leg of your trek.
Trek from Lumde to Renjo La Pass, a challenging 5-hour journey through rugged terrain, reaching an elevation of 5465m. Enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. Descend to Gokyo Lake (4800m) in about 3 hours, reveling in the breathtaking scenery. Check into your lodge at Gokyo Lake for the night, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Himalayas.
Early in the morning hiking up to Gokyo-RI (5360m) 3hrs from there you we will be see Excellent view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt.Cho Oyu & other many mountains range and then back to down same lodge then after breakfast trek to Thangnag (4680m) 3hrs over night at lodge.
Early morning, you will get the magnificent view of Cholatse looming over. Today will be one of the toughest day of the trip. We walk through a spur extending westward fromThangang. The trail climb ups to a basin across which flows a stream melted from ice and snows. After an hour, we reach the trip of the basin readying for the triumph on Cho La. As we rise, the view gets more astonishing: the Cho La Lake appears and the Ama Dablam in its pyramidal incarnation presides over a range of mountains on the south as Cholatse stands on the west. The ascent is not easy and it gets worse by boulders over which you many even have to scramble. The final climb to Cho La is quite tricky as the trail curves round the bergschrund. As we reach the top, the prayer flags and strung across cairns will astonish you.
Compared to the last few and next few days, this can even be considered a rest day as the trek is fairly short and easy. In just around 5hours, we will arrive at Lobuche and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at preparing for the coming days.
Today is the one of the main days of the trek as it includes the hike up to the Everest Base Camp. The trek in itself isn’t that hard but the pattern of ascending and descending can make it tedious in a way. After just a few hours of trekking, we will reach the final settlement going forward in the region, Gorak Shep. Although only a temporary settlement, the views of Pumori, Nuptse and Everest are still decent from here.</p>Once we’ve had our lunch, we will begin the hike up to Everest Base Camp. The distance we need to cover here is only around 3km but trekking through the rocky trail along the glacier will certainly not be the easiest endeavor. At the Everest Base Camp, we can explore around for a bit and enjoy the superb scenery surrounding us – comprising of Nuptse, Khumbutse, Lhotse, Pumori and more while Everest is hidden away behind the ridge. After a while there, we will trek back to our lodge in Gorak Shep.
Our trek starts early in the morning as we make the 1-2 hour long hike up to Kala Patthar. As we arrive at the summit just in time for sunrise, you’ll be treated to a once in a lifetime view. As one of the best viewpoints in the Khumbu region, Kala Patthar sports a stunning panorama of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Changtse, Cho Oyu and the Khumbu glacier. The 360 degree view of most of the region, and particularly the close up view of Everest is quite memorable. After a while there, we will retrace our steps back to our lodge in Gorak Shep. Enjoy some warm breakfast at the lodge before beginning the usual routine of trekking. As our main goals are now accomplished, we will simply retrace our steps back to Luboche.
Today we will trek around 10 km, before come brightness in your window shake your blanket and take your rucksack start your trek with a headlamp, gradually hike up with your trekking team reach the highest part of the entire trip which is Kongma La pass. We can either take a trail over a hill which is to the northwest of Chhukung over the Mt. Nuptse Glacier moraines or treks on the trail above the Niyang Khola. When you get on the top of Kongmala you will see around there marked by cairns and Buddhist prayer flags. The final trek down from the pass is the hardest part of today’s trip. Our journey on the Everest Base Camp Trek to down continues as we leave Chhukyng early in the morning. Descending to the rushing waters of the Dudh Koshi, we then ascend through the lush rhododendron forest on our way to Tengboche.
Tengboche is renowned for its majestic Tengboche Monastery, set against the dramatic backdrop of Ama Dablam. This captivating monastery holds significant importance as a pilgrimage site for Buddhist Sherpas, especially during the Mani Rimdu festival. We'll spend the night in one of Tengboche's excellent teahouses, where you can anticipate a hearty meal and a peaceful night's rest.
This morning, after a satisfying breakfast, we'll descend to tracing its path through the lush greenery of the forest. Passing several quaint villages along the way, we'll reach Phungithenga in approximately two or three hours, providing an opportunity to admire the town's unforgettable monastery during our lunch break. After replenishing our energy, we'll make our way back to Namche Bazaar. The trek back to Khumbu's bustling trading town will take about four to five hours, traversing ridgelines adorned with low-lying shrubs. We'll spend the night in Namche, so take advantage of the opportunity to revisit your favorite bakery and witness the sunset over the mountains.
Today marks the final leg of our Everest Base Camp Trek, so lace up your hiking boots for one last adventure! We have approximately six hours of trekking ahead, navigating a steep trail along the Dudh Koshi River. Crossing a suspension bridge and passing through the villages of Phakding and Monjo, we'll make our triumphant return to Lukla, where our incredible journey began. Tonight, we'll stay in Lukla, a charming town popular among travelers. Don't forget to explore the cafes and restaurants, celebrating your achievement of completing the Everest Base Camp Trek! On your departure day, we'll board a 45-minute flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. As your plane lifts off from Lukla's dramatic runway, take a final look at the majestic mountains beneath the wings. Before you know it, you'll touch down in Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we'll transfer you to your hotel in the city. With the completion of your Everest Base Camp Trek, Alpine Ramble Treks can organize additional cultural, adventure, or sightseeing tours based on your preferences. If your journey is coming to an end, we can gather for a final celebratory dinner in Kathmandu before you depart on the following day.
After beautiful sunshine morning will sadly wake up you, your trip in Nepal comes to an end today; our spokesperson will escort you to the airport approx 3 hours before your flight scheduled.
